Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that feature. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Jasper County Criminal History does not keep a local log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the related correspondence. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
Site operation creates a limited technical record when a page loads, which may include:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files used to measure traffic patterns and basic site performance. Analytics providers may combine visit data into aggregate reports. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Jasper County Criminal History does not build, keep, or sell a database of individual criminal records. It publishes general directions to the Jasper County sheriff and courts, the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Government access follows the Texas Public Information Act and the criminal-history dissemination limits in Government Code Chapter 411. Visitor information is not assembled into third-party records or consumer reports, and the site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy terms govern any query submitted through those tools, including retention and sharing. Review the provider's policy before entering information because this policy does not control its systems.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to government offices, court systems, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's policy applies. Review it before providing personal details.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across sites and select ads. Their practices are outside this site's control.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security measures protect information in the site's control. No internet system can guarantee absolute security, so a breach-free result cannot be promised.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A confirmed minor's submission will be removed when identified.
Your Data Rights
Applicable rights may arise under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Business & Commerce Code Chapter 541, along with other consumer-protection law. Subject to legal limits, a visitor may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
